Haley McClain Hill- A Military Woman Interview!
A few weeks ago, I did a post introducing the Military Women and Spouses series I will be doing! (click here) This is close to my heart as I have been surrounded by the Military my whole life. My hope with this series is to share that you can still achieve your dreams as a military spouse and to share what life is like for Women in the military! Today I will be introducing you to the wonderful Haley McClain Hill! She is an extraordinary Military Woman who wears many hats! Keep reading to learn more about her and her life!
Tell me a little bit about yourself?
โI’m 27 years old, born in Virginia, and raised in Pennsylvania. I was a dancer and gymnast growing up with a little sister who always wanted to try what I was doing. I grew up with 2 cats and a dog in the country but got the taste for traveling at a young age and fell in love. Once college came around I decided to go the ROTC route to commission and decided to cheer also. I graduated in 2018 with my degree in Math and was sent to Atlanta to be an Air Force Recruiter. While in Atlanta I chose to try out for the Atlanta Falcons Cheerleading Team also. I was sent to Cali next and tried out for the 49ers Cheerleading Team! During COVID, I came up with TORCH and I have been building it day by day!โ

โNo! My grandmaย did 20 years in the Air Force but I didn’tย think about it until college.โ

โI thought I would not have time to pursue my passions on the side, but I was so wrong!โ

What is one of your funniest memories thus far in your military career?ย
โForgetting my boots day 1 on my first base.โ
Did you always know you wanted to own a clothing company?ย
โNo, but my mom and I have always loved fashion.โ

Your clothing is such a great concept, how did you think of this idea?
โI loved wearing bodysuits outside of my uniform and I woke up one day wishing I could wear something a little more comfortable like a bodysuit to work.โ
These bodysuits are so comfortable! I love mine and I love that I can dress it up or dress it down! And women in uniform can wear it to work and easily wear it out for dinner without having to change their whole outfit!
Not only are you a military woman and business owner but you also are a professional cheerleader. How do you manage all of these careers?ย
โJust make it happen! Communication, time management, and passion!โ
What advice would you give other women who want to pursue a career in the military and also another career at the same time?ย
โCommunicate and go for it! You have to go after your dreams because no one can give you permission to do that but yourself.โ
