We are Moving!

Home is Where the Military Sends us!

I have lived in 5 countries, 3 states and visited more places than I can remember! I say this not to brag but to give you some insight into the life of a military child, now spouse. I read somewhere that the average military spouse moves 10x more than civilian spouses. Now imagine growing up a military child as well! I LOVE the life I have had and have enjoyed so many experiences that the average person probably doesnโ€™t even dream about, and I am thankful for that!
But having said that I have moved 4 houses in the past 2.5 years and 3 different bases. And guess what! Here comes move number 5 and base number 4! YES, we are moving again! This time should be for quite a while and although it wasnโ€™t the top place I wanted to move to, I am ready to hopefully settle down for a few years! If you are military-affiliated you know I say โ€œhopefullyโ€ because you never know what will happen with the military. So keep your fingers crossed we will be there for a few years!ย
If you follow me on Instagram I teased about changes to come this year, and this is one of those changes! So I am excited to announceโ€ฆ

We are Moving to TEXAS!

I mentioned this wasnโ€™t at the top of my list for places to move but I have adjusted to the idea and started to get excited! My main reason for not being happy about this move is that we are moving from a hot place, Florida, to an even HOTTER place, Texas. And I donโ€™t thrive in heat! I prefer seasons! This must be the British in me. ๐Ÿคฃ

Adventures in Texas…

But I AM excited! Our new base is also home to many, many friends of mine from high school! Literally, half of my senior year basketball team lives or is also stationed in the same area! Iโ€™m also excited to be in a BIG city again! I loved living in Atlanta and loved the city life so I am happy to hopefully have a similar experience!
I have visited Texas twice but didnโ€™t do much exploring. I am really looking forward to taking Moose on adventures to Seaworld and the Zoo. What are some things that you love about Texas, specifically in the big cities of Austin, San Antonio, and Houston? We would love to explore these areas! So I am looking for recommendations on restaurants, kid-friendly places, and more! I canโ€™t wait to dive into these cities and share with you what we find! I foresee a lot of fun travel blogs in the future!

In the meantime…

Until our move, we will be enjoying Florida and doing some small travels here and there! We will be spending as much time with our family as possible! So I will also have a few upcoming blogs on our travels to come!

We were supposed to be making the big trip over to England to visit my family but unfortunately, I donโ€™t think that is going to happen right now! It is honestly heartbreaking that I havenโ€™t seen my family there in about 5 years so fingers crossed we can still make it sometime soon! In the meantime we will make the most of our families that are close by and continue to make memories with them!

So stick around to see more on our upcoming move and traveling with a toddler! Also don’t forget to share some fun places to explore in Texas, in the comments below!

Above are some pictures of our travels throughout the years!

Here are some other fun travel and moving blogs I have shared in the past! Make sure to check them out!ย
