Four Easy & Fun Outdoor Activities with Toddlers
I don’t know about you but my toddler LOVES being outside! Moose thrives off of spending time outdoors and in nature! In our case, it doesn’t take much to please him. He would be happy to run around in an empty field! However, I have put together a list of our top four easy & fun outdoor activities to do with toddlers!

Top Two Easy and Fun Activities with Toddlers
/1/ Bike Riding–
Moose has a balance bike that he enjoys riding. He would ride it every day if we let him! We also have some other options for bike riding! As a family, we enjoy riding bikes so we have invested in this activity. We have a bike seat that attaches to the front of Melvin’s bike. This allows Moose to go on longer bike rides with us. We also have a bike trailer that can be pulled behind our bikes or used as a stroller.
But if you are looking for the easiest option I would go with the balance bike! Balance bikes set your child up for an easier transition to a normal bike as well as help get out all their energy as a toddler!
/2/ Bubble Blowing–
Children seem to be Obsessed with bubbles! I am not sure why, and I think most parents despise the act of blowing bubbles with a bubble wand for 30 minutes. Luckily Moose received a bubble machine for his first birthday. We have been using it almost every day for the past month. It’s an easy and fun outdoor activity for toddlers!
/3/ Chalk–
As a teacher, I always had chalk around, so it’s not weird that I still do. This makes for another easy and fun outdoor activity that the whole family can take part in. Moose will often just scribble up and down the path as I make pictures. We talk about the colors or shapes and he uses his imagination to tell me what his squiggles are. Chalk is pretty inexpensive so this makes for a cheap activity as well. And it will get washed away by the rain so no need to worry about damage.
/4/ Playground–
I think this one is self-explanatory and probably my favorite easy and fun outdoor activity! We have been lucky to always have playgrounds in our neighborhoods. Moose loves running around and climbing the equipment. If you don’t have a playground in your neighborhood, travel to one and make a big day of it. Pack a picnic and maybe take some bubbles on this adventure also!
