Hitting my Book Goal

I DID IT! I hit my book goal of 30 books in 2022.
Despite being in a HUGE book slump this year, being pregnant, moving to a different state, and much more, I have met my goal. I am so proud of myself! I just finished reading โ€œAlong for the Rideโ€ by Mimi Grace and listening to โ€œFour Aunties and a Weddingโ€ by Jesse Q Sutanto. Both books were great and the perfect way to reach my goal, keep reading to see what I thought of each book.

Along for the Ride by Mimi Grace

Finishing up my book goal, these were the last two books I read! This book caught my attention because the characters on the cover looked like me. Big hair, brown skin and curves! But as I started reading I was not disappointed. This book starts of as two completely different and very unlikely individuals help their friend and sister move to a new city. Jojo and Jason end up on an eventful journey, bound by the confines of a moving truck. They have met a handful of times and do not care for each other. But as the journey unfolds this starts to change. Once they return from their whirlwind trip the two come to an agreement that will have them spending more time together. At this point the book becomes predictable. Although it was easy to predict how this one would end I still LOVED it. The characters are funny, witty and full of personality. You will not be dissatisfied with this book if you decide to pick it up!

Four Aunties and A Wedding

I had this on my list ever since finishing โ€œDial A Four Auntiesโ€ last year. I loved listening to that book and the same went for this one. The narrator is great which is always a plus and makes the book so much more enjoyable. If you read the first book you might have been wondering how this book would pan out. It has a similar storyline but not to similar that its boring. One of my favorite things about this book is it takes place in Oxford, England. I am originally from Oxford so I had that extra connection with it! I wont share any details of this book because I donโ€™t want to give it away, but I have a feeling you will love it, especially if you enjoyed Dial A for Aunties.

Exceeding my Book Goal

Next I am reading and listening to two books that are not on my TBRโ€ฆ oops lol! I checked out โ€œThe Hotel Nantucketโ€ by Elin Hilderbrand from the library so I will be reading that. And I am listening to โ€œInheritance Gamesโ€ by Jennifer Lynn Barnes for a local book club. I also just noticed that Verity By Colleen Hoover is only available in my audible for free until the end of this month, so I will be listening to that as well! This one is on my TBR and Iโ€™m really excited about it!

What books are you reading this month?

Epic!
