December…2022
December- A Life Update
December was a fun packed month with lots of family time.
Birthday
Moose celebrates his birthday at the beginning of December. We dedicated the whole day to him. We’d planned to go to breakfast but the place was packed, so we got cookies instead. Then we headed to build a bear to let Moose build his birthday bear. He picked all Harry Potter clothes, he’s never seen the movies or read the books but loves his bear who he named Nomnomdomnom 🤣. We then took him bowling, where some family friends joined us. It was a fun day that we ended by enjoying, strawberry cake, strawberry ice cream and strawberries, per his request.
December Family time
My father-in-law and his lady friend came to visit before Christmas, and we spent time exploring and showing them around San Antonio. We also spent a lot of time at home enjoying each other’s company. They kept Moose and Coyote for a couple hours so Melvin and I could run errands alone, we always appreciate this and Moose loves hanging out with his Grandpa.
After Christmas my parents came into town! I was so excited for them to get here! I miss having them down the street from us. We didn’t do much but we spent a lot of quality family time together and it was amazing. We all get so spoiled when my parents come. My mum helps with everything, cooking, cleaning, and of course playing with Moose and giving Coyote all the baby cuddles. My dad and Moose are pretty much best friends, so my dad doesn’t get a break , Moose wants to play, play, play! They both love it! And so do I! Melvin and I always make sure to squeeze in a date while they are here, it just so happened that my parents were here for Melvin’s birthday, so we enjoyed a day date!
New Years Eve
While my parents were here was also had multiple game nights. We all love playing games and our favorites were Scattergories and Taboo. We enjoyed a fun New Years Eve eating lots of yummy food and watching football. Melvin lost a bet with my parents and had to pet Charles Wallace, it was so funny, he’s not a fan of our cats… From our house it was like a personal fireworks show all evening which just got better and better the closer we got to midnight. It was pretty amazing, and we even woke up Moose to watch as well.

Christmas for four
On Christmas Eve we decided to go see a Christmas light show about 30 minutes away. We picked up McDonalds and Starbucks on the way and sipped on our drinks as we drove through the lights. Moose was in awe, honestly, I think we all were. It was about a 30-minute-long drive thru light show with music, which was the perfect amount of time to keep his attention!
We had a wonderfully, relaxed Christmas. Our first Christmas as a family of 4 and it was perfect. I made us croissants, eggs, and sausages for breakfast. Moose was so excited about the “mess” (celery leaves on the floor) the reindeer made again this year and wondered by Santa didn’t eat all his cookies 😂. This is the first year that he has understood Santa, so he was super excited about him coming! Coyote slept until about 930 which was perfect because it gave us time with Moose to open his presents and see his excitement before she joined us! Melvin and I both found so much joy in watching him open his gifts and get excited about everything from sneakers to candy, from his new bike to books!
We spent the day relaxing and playing with Moose and his new toys. We enjoyed an easy dinner of ham, stuffing, greens and mac n cheese, which Melvin and I made together! It was a the perfect Christmas day!
