March Book Reviews

Spare by Prince Harry

I finished this book in the beginning of March and I really enjoyed it. Memoirs and Biographies are one of my favorite genres to read, and this one didn’t disappoint! Learning about Harry’s early childhood and how growing up without his mom Princess Diana changed him was eye-opening. I learned a lot that surprised me. His military career was also something that I never thought about but made me see him in a different light! Hearing about how Princess Harry and his wife Meagan were treated wasn’t shocking, due to hearing about much of it in the media, but it was upsetting, especially being mixed race and British. Overall I enjoyed this book and listening to Prince Harry narrate it was a bonus!

Things We Never Got Over by Lucy Score

The book I didn’t know I needed! I LOVED everything about this book, besides Knox’s use of the word Baby. Hahahaha This book was not a typical love story. The trope was a typical, grumpy man and sweetheart woman but otherwise, I felt that it was a lot different! Just when you think nothing else monumental will happen the author hits you with another twist! I haven’t stopped thinking about this book.

More of my March Book Reviews!

This Time Tomorrow by Emma Straub

This was a book club read. I was very close to DNF’ing but pushed through. I wasn’t a huge fan of this book and discovered I don’t enjoy time travel story lines. This book wasn’t terrible but also not one I would recommend. That’s it.

It Starts With Us by Collen Hoover

I don’t know where to start with this one, but I feel that it is either a you love it or hate it kind of book. And well, I loved it! I read It Ends With Us last year so maybe enough time had gone by between them to make me enjoy it more. But I was routing for Lily and Atlas through the whole first book and was happy to have their story in this one. I enjoyed the new developments of their life and I felt happy when I finished it.

Lessons In Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus

This one took a minute for me to get into. I ended up listening to most of this book and that made it a bit easier. The love story was beautiful but there were many times I wanted to throw this book. The struggle of being a female scientist in the 60’s really made me angry but I loved how she stood her ground. It was a powerful and beautiful story!

April TBR

Now that you’ve read my March book reviews lets move on to April…

I am not going to set a TBR this month because I have so many books I want to read. I have been mood reading and finding better success with that. This week alone I picked up and started 3 different books before settling on one. My mum got me a book while they were visiting, I found a good one at our librarys book share and I also got my first Once Upon a Book Club book to read! So many options!

I have already read/listened to two books and finished them. They were short books and I feel like I might end up doing many short reads this month.  Currently I am reading a library copy of Take My Hand, I am definitely enjoying it! I cant wait to share my book reviews next month.

Be sure to check out my previous book reviews for this year!
