Cooking with Moose: Episode 4, Croissants
Filled Croissants
One of Moose’s favorite things to eat is croissants! It was one of the first food items that he tried and loved. They have been my go-to when Moose has been refusing all other foods. We cut back on giving them to him due to his tummy issues but, I think he can tolerate them better now! So, what better idea than to show you all the ways we make croissants fun! You can make so many different things with them, ending up with so many different tastes. Our favorites are Nutella, and jam-filled but, today we are showing you a few varieties of croissants we like!
-a tube of croissants or crescent rolls
-your favorite fillings (see our ideas below)
-a pan and foil
-knife or spoon to spread filling
-your favorite tiny helper
What we used:
-Pillsbury crescent rolls
-hot dogs
-cheese
-jam
-peanut butter and banana
-a pan and foil
-spoons
-my tiny helper
(we ran out of Nutella so used peanut butter instead)
To make the crescent rolls, just fill with your favorite fillings and then follow the directions on the packaging.
Croissant Varieties
With this variety, we have options for sweet and savory. Meaning they can be eaten for any meal or snack of the day. And today we made them right before lunch so he enjoyed two for lunch. We made croissants filled with cheese and hotdogs, plain cheese, jam, and peanut butter with banana. Two of each flavor. Moose enjoyed a cheese and hotdog and a plain cheese croissant. We typically only do 2 variations but we wanted to show you they can be used for so many more!
If you enjoyed seeing the different types of crescent rolls we made be sure to check out the rest of the Cooking With Moose Series here:
