Top 5 Books so far!

Things I Never Got Over by Lucy Score

I felt like this book was different from a lot of other books I have read. It is an enemies to lovers, age gap, grumpy and happy genre lol. It has some unexpected twists and turns. This long book was intimidating but so good. The second Knockemout book is on my TBR shelf and I will be reading it this summer hopefully!

One True Loves by Taylor Jenkins Reids

This was my first book by TJR that wasn’t historical fiction. I read through this one so quickly and thoroughly enjoyed it. It is a love triangle of sorts, as Emma’s husband is presumed dead after his plane crashes, after awhile she starts dating her close friend from high school, things unfold when her husband is found alive. Although TJR’s historical fiction books take me forever to get through, I like them, but this romance was obviously at the top of my list.

Everyone Is Beautiful by Katherine Center

This book is the definition of right place, right time. I feel like I connected so much with the main character and couldn’t put the book down! The synopsis of this book states that Lanies (the main character) life is spinning out of control. Although this isn’t how I’d define my life I feel like it was so relatable. She was just not feeling like her best self after having kids and as mothers usually do, was putting everyone first. Once she realized she needed to take better care of herself things started falling into place! I loved this because I could really connect with this. This book would be perfect for any mom, its relatively short and a pretty easy read! I also had the pleasure of meeting Katherine Center this month at a book signing. It was the icing on the cake for my top 5 books so far and I was so happy to meet her in person.

More of my top 5 books

Nora Goes off Script by Annabel Monaghan

Nora is a writer, she writes mostly for a tv channel that is what I imagine to be like the Hallmark channel. Her husband leaves her but shes not upset about it and ends up getting her big break in the movie world with the story of how it happened. She unexpectedly falls in love with one of the actors in the movie and you can imagine how that goes. The plot twists in it are not typical and I found this book super easy to read! I flew through it. I am so glad that I won a signed copy of this book, it makes it that more special to me!

Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros

This is one of those books that was super hyped up on social media. I am NOT a fantasy reader, but I saw so many other people saying that they were not either and loved this book. So of course I had to check it out. I got really lucky and found it at my local library. I read this while my parents were in town so it took me a little while BUT it was so good! Had they not been here, I probably would have finished it in record time! This book is about Violet, who is pretty much forced to become a dragon rider, or die trying. There was the perfect combination of romance and fantasy. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series and was also super excited to find out that the author is a military spouse!

I hope you enjoyed my top 5 books of 2023 so far! Feel free to share your favorites with me! Be sure to check out some of my other book blogs here
