February Book Reviews and March TBR
I set myself a pretty lofty reading tbr for the month of February. On my February TBR I had 6 books! I actually read 4 of them! Plus I started Spare by Prince Harry and read the new epilogue of Verity! I am so proud of myself for sticking to my TBR and hope to do the same for the month of March. Keep reading to see my reviews of the books I read in February and what my March TBR hopefuls are!

February Book Reviews
Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover 4.5 stars
I almost DNF’d this book I shared that on Instagram and so many of you thought I was crazy. So, I stuck with it. I skipped a couple of Tate’s chapters in the middle because I felt like the storyline was dragging. But I am so, so glad I kept reading because this book was a solid 4.5 for me. I ended up loving it.
This story is told by Tate present day and Miles six years prior. When Tate moves in with her brother Corbin, she instantly meets a very drunk Miles. They have a connection from the beginning but is a rocky situation. Every other chapter flashes back to Miles six years prior in his high school relationship and I felt much more invested in that part of the story. This is why I struggled. But once I got a lil more than half way through the book I couldn’t put it down. I mean I literally took the book to the gym with me to read on the treadmill!
This book will have you asking questions, it will tear your heart out, and put it back again!
So, after my book club discussion I am back on the fence with this book lol but I will stick with the 4.5 rating.
The No-show by Beth O’Leary 3 stars
This one was also almost a DNF. I pushed through because this read was for one of my book clubs. Although I did end up liking it, I don’t know that I would ever recommend it. The first 75% of the book was a drag and I didn’t find myself loving it. Since I listened to this one I ended up increasing the speed to 1.75x. I loved all the accents, but if you’re someone who struggles to understand British accents, I would not recommend listening to this one. The last 25 % of the book when everything came together was wonderful!
The Light We Carry by Michelle Obama 5 stars
This is a great book, I listened to it on audio book and LOVED everything about it! Michelle Obama Narrates this book, which I enjoy because I think she has a great reading voice. In this book she shares her life after their time in the white house. She shares how she and her family coped with different struggles and specifically the pandemic. The way she shares and also provides useful information and tips, in a way like a self help book, is easy to read on in my case listen too. It made me feel seen when she shared stories of her past, especially a story about motherhood. I give this book 5 stars!
Drunk on Love by Jasmine Guillory 5 stars
This is probably my favorite book by her! Granted I love all her books, Jasmine Guillory is my favorite author, but this one I just loved. Taking place in Napa I had very strong imagery since I have visited the area a couple of times. I enjoyed the story line of the forbidden workplace love. I felt like this was a realistic storyline which is probably another reason I enjoyed it. Luke and Margot meet and have a one night stand without realizing who they are. Quickly you find out that Margot is Luke’s new boss. The dual point of view was fun to follow because you saw what both characters were thinking and how they were handling situations differently. I also was very happy that the disagreement in the book didn’t last for a long time, I hate when authors draw that out, especially when you know they are going to end up together! Highly recommend this book, perfect about of spice, drama, love and reality.
Verity by Colleen Hoover 5 stars
Yes I have already read this one. However I finally got my hands on the new version with the additional chapter! OMG! Click here to see my original review on this book! I have so many unanswered questions and I am not ok with it! If you have read this added chapter, please share your thoughts with me below!
Moving into March let’s see what’s on my March TBR. I did a great job of sticking to my February books and hope I can do just as good with my March TBR.
