A Gift Guide for Book Lovers

gift guide for book lovers

Do you have a book lover in your life? Are you stuck on what to get them for Christmas? Well look no further, I am here to help you! As a book lover myself, I have put together a list of gifts any book lover is sure to love! I seem to always associate books with Fall so these gifts would also be perfect for anyone who loves Fall! Here is the perfect gift guide for book lovers!

A Gift Guide For Book Lovers

/1/ Books

The obvious right? However, this might not be an easy gift. Most readers like specific genres of books. So this may make it difficult if you’re not in tune with what your book lover friend likes! If you aren’t sure I would ask them or skip this and move on to the rest of my gift options below!

Here are some recommendations based on genre, click each to purchase directly:
                *Biography- Becoming by Michelle Obama
*Romance- Seven Days in June by Tia Williams
*Mystery- Dial A for Aunties by Jesse Q Sutanto
*Poetry- Milk and Honey by Rupi Kaur
*Series- The Wedding Series by Jasmine Guillory

/2/ Book Store Gift Card

You can do a generic book store found almost everywhere like Books-a-Million or Barnes and Nobles. Or you could find a local book store to support. I will be picking up some gift cards from our local book store here in Pensacola, The Bodacious Café and Book Store.

/3/ Audible or Kindle

You can gift an Audible subscription easily by clicking here! The subscription won’t start until the recipient activates it so no worries about them losing out on books!

Book Lovers Like Warm Drinks (or cold)

/4/ Coffee Gift Card

Again, you could do a popular chain like Starbucks or a local shop! I know I would love a coffee gift card because I love to sip on something warm while reading!

/5/ Tea

I also love tea on a crisp afternoon or evening while snuggled up reading! You can buy some pretty good tea options on Amazon. My brother gifted me this one last year and I thoroughly enjoyed it!
*A nice bottle of wine is also a good gift*

/6/ Coffee or Tea Mugs

This is a bit of a tricky one. I personally do not like being gifted mugs. As a teacher, I received about 5 mugs a year to add to my already huge collection. So, if you are going this route I would make sure it is MEANINGFUL in some way and something that your friend would want! I collect Starbucks mugs so I like getting ones from places I haven’t been to already!

The Book Lover who likes to stay cozy

/7/ A Cozy Blanket

I love snuggling up to read! Something about being wrapped up in a big, soft blanket just helps me engage with my books. This would be a great option for someone who lives in a cold place. I sure do miss curling up in front of my fireplace in Alaska on a snowy day!
If you purchase the blanket I have linked be sure to use code SHANAY20 to save!

/8/ A Cozy Sweater

This is a good alternative to a blanket! And it is something they can wear out after finishing a long reading session! So, make sure it’s cute and then they won’t have to think about their outfit after getting caught up in their book!

You can find some Amazon Favorites HERE!

/9/ Cute Bookmark

I don’t know anyone who likes to dog-ear their pages… and if they do, they are crazy!  A fun or cute bookmark would be a perfect small gift or addition to another gift for a book lover! You can grab one on Amazon or at a book store when grabbing your book lover’s other gifts!

/10/ Calming or Soft Smelling Candle

I think that a candle is a great gift for a book lover. It helps set the mood, and as I said earlier, this is a perfect gift for your fall-loving friend as well! Definitely ask your friend their scent preference! I love soft, sweet smells like caramel and vanilla, or calming scents like lavender. These are some good ones, here!

Planner

Last but not least, another option in my gift guide for book lovers or any friend you are looking to buy a gift for, would be a planner! I love having a planner to organize my day! My planner is a day, week, and month planner. It gets used for organizing my mom life, chores, meals, and Moose’s activities. I also use it to organize my blog content and to help me stay on track with appointments and everyday life! Click here to purchase this perfect planner! And click here to check out my detailed description of this planner!

I hope that you have found this book lover’s gift guide helpful and that you found some good ideas! I am willing to be that the book lover in your life would love any one or two of these options for Christmas (or their birthday… or a just because gift).
