Let the packing begin…

I finally started packing… Again. Its getting real now. One more month. While enjoying my spring break I decided to start going through my apartment storage unit. I downsized from NINE boxes to just four in just  matter of hours. This was a weight lifted off my shoulders and it felt so good! I also did some “Spring Cleaning”, I went through my clothes and through my kitchen, purging all my unwanted/ unsellable things. I donated everything to good causes in my area. And I also wanted to start my search for a storage unit that was affordable, climate controlled and big enough for all my things while I travel. I found a few.

My parents came to visit the weekend after spring break and with my dads logistics background, they helped me decided on what size would be best. I decided I would need a 10×6 as I was going to sell most of my stuff.

For my birthday my brother came up to Atlanta to visit one last time. He helped me load up my car and move things into storage. Props to the big bro for all his help! It was awfully hot but we got two loads done! Then treated ourselves to some Iced coffees.

Update:
I finally have pretty much all of my things in storage now and most of the packing done. I had a yard sale and managed to sell a few things and make some extra $ for my travels. My friend Nicki came over to help and to help me narrow down outfits. I have a habit of wearing the same colors… black, olive-green and maroon. And I had about four shirts of each color, so Nicki helped me to narrow it down to about two of each. I will be putting the rest into my storage unit… Check out this blog post on how my adventure continued.
